When I was a kid, in the 1970s and 80s, Orange Julius was a really popular drink. We had Orange Julius stores at the mall, and everyone made them at home, too. In fact, it was one of the first recipes that I learned how to make.

Easy step-by-step directions

In a blender, combine:
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate
1/3 cup granulated sugar
Pulse until thoroughly mixed.

Add
2 cups ice cubes
Blend until crushed and smooth. You can adjust thickness to your liking by adding a little water (if too thick) or a few more ice cubes (if too runny).
