Easy Step-By-Step Instructions for Chocolate Chex Mix

Chocolate Snacks
Line two large baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
Snack mix
In a very large bowl, toss together 9 cups Chex cereal (rice, corn, or wheat), 3 cups small pretzels (I used Goldfish pretzels), 1 ½ cups roasted salted peanuts, and 1 ½ cups roasted salted almonds. You could switch it up by adding some coconut or other nuts, as well. Just make sure your total measurement of stuff in the bowl is 15 cups.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt 20 ounces chocolate (milk or dark) with 1 tablespoon butter in 30 second increments, and mix until smooth. Or use a double boiler over low heat.

Pour chocolate mixture over cereal mixture, and gently mix until completely coated.

Chocolate Chex Mix

Ingredients
  

  • 9 cups Chex cereal rice, corn, or wheat
  • 3 cups small pretzels
  • 1 ½ cups roasted salted peanuts

  • Other mix-ins: coconut cashews, Teddy Grahams crackers, other cereals, etc.
