As the weather starts to change from winter to spring, we get excited about getting outside and firing up the grill! My husband does a great job as grill-master. The other night, he grilled these delicious steaks, and that just made us hungry for more.
Place steaks in a single layer in a large dish.
Coat with soy sauce, and generously sprinkle with garlic salt and fresh ground pepper.
Cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
Preheat grill to 450 degrees F. Thicker steaks require lower heat, and thinner steaks require higher heat.
Place on grill, and grill each side for 4-10 minutes, following the chart below for desired doneness. (To achieve a grid pattern on the meat, rotate them 90 degrees after a minute.)
I got this chart from H-E-B, a grocery chain in Texas.
Using tongs, turn steaks over only once, halfway through grilling.
Use thermometer to test for desired level of doneness.
Allow to rest 5 minutes before cutting.
